On Jun. 2, KSS' Stephen Doyle, AIA, LEED AP, will be joining a panel of State legislators and design professionals to discuss the movements that are changing the way we do historic preservation in the Garden State. The 2010 Historic Preservation conference, which will held at Union County College, in Elizabeth, N.J., will convene renowned preservation experts and policymakers from across the nation.

Steve is presenting in place of Sen. Diane B. Allen at Educational Session S-5: Spotlight on Legislation, 10:45 a.m.-12 noon. The session will cover current legislations in New Jersey that are gaining momentum such as the Historic Property Reinvestment Act, historic schools, and permanent funding for the Gardent State Preservation Trust. Steve, an active member in the Trenton community, will be talking about pending historic school construction legislation S980, which requires school facilities projects to maintain the character of historic school facilities.
