How do the Princeton and Philadelphia offices differ? Walk into either of KSS' offices and you will be greeted by friendly faces, diligent workers, and teams of designers working in charrettes. The work atmosphere is fun and lighthearted, but also focused and fast paced at times. Beyond office walls, the contexts of both cities have a positive effect on our workdays. Princeton and Philadelphia are wonderful walking cities that thrive in arts and culture. Princeton has an engaging, close-knit feel of a college town filled with students, professionals, families, independent retailers, restaurants, and small businesses. From our Princeton office, you can easily walk to the downtown area for lunch, shopping, and errands. Our Philadelphia office, located in the Public Ledger Building across the street from Independence Hall, has an exciting urban environment augmented by a proliferation of colleges, historical and cultural sites, and restaurants. |
Will KSS help me become a licensed architect? KSS is interested in long-term relationships with their employees, cultivating experience within the firm and helping employees to grow to be better architects. Part of this is working with architects to help them earn credits towards their license and tapping the vast base of knowledge at the firm to help them study, and pass, the certification exams. KSS will pay for study materials, and many of the necessary materials are already available in the firm's library. In addition, KSS allows employees professional development time to take the registration exam, and pays annual national AIA dues. Once an architect has been certified, we offer many opportunities to earn continuing education credits through programs such as our KSS University lunch sessions. |
Will KSS help me become LEED Accredited? Yes. As architects we feel a sense of responsibility and stewardship towards promoting and maintaining a healthy built environment, and as such we strongly encourage our professionals to become LEED Accredited. KSS will allow for professional development time to study for the test, and reimburse the cost of the test once it has been passed. |
