Berlitz/ELS, a global educational language services company had outgrown its current location and was looking to move to new space that would afford the opportunity for growth, flexibility, and higher quality space in keeping with the image the company wanted to project. KSS assisted Berlitz / ELS with the evaluation of multiple locations through building analysis and performing test-fits for each of the 5 prospective locations. 

KSS began the design process with programming to assess personnel counts, requirements for growth, workflow, as well as visioning for the new image they wanted to capture in their new workplace. KSS worked closely with the client to create a plan layout and design to provide for organized and collaborative workflow. The new workplace environment included private offices, open workspaces with shared work areas, a variety of conference rooms, open huddle spaces, flexible training rooms, and multiple pantry/lounge spaces. KSS also assisted with the evaluation of existing furniture and how to combine it with new furniture purchases in a seamless way. Graphic imaging, designed in collaboration with the Berlitz marketing group, was utilized in key areas throughout the space to create visual interest and the opportunity for branding. The final design was light and fresh with a modern feel allowing natural light to penetrate the space and incorporating the Berlitz brand colors.
